AZHAR ACADEMY YOUTH & COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Azhar Academy Youth & Community Support is a Youth & Community
organisation. The organisation offers a wide range of educational
and sporting initiatives for local under-privileged Youth and
Community from multi-ethnic urban communities in Newham.
Through its provisions, the Azhar Academy Youth & Community Support
focuses on the early intervention of young people in general; but
particularly focusing on those who are in the initial stages of
delinquency and at a disadvantage from their peers. It also aims to
address issues surrounding substance misuse, gang related violence,
anti-social behaviour and unemployment. The current educational and
sporting initiatives are designed to distract young people away from
anti-social activities and crimes as well as promoting active
citizenship. In doing so, it proactively meet the concerns of local
parents for the welfare of their children within the local
community.
